Session A and session B overlap, and that is the trap.
On paper you are taking two short courses one after the other. In practice the final weeks of session A sit on top of the opening weeks of session B, so the fortnight when your first course is heaviest is also the fortnight when your second is setting up. Students plan for two sprints and get one collision.
The fix starts before anything is written. Both syllabi go onto a single calendar, the overlap is marked in advance, and whatever can be moved gets moved out of it. That usually means drafting a session A final project a week earlier than feels necessary, which is easy in advance and impossible once you are inside the overlap.

A course can be lost in one bad fortnight here.
A compressed session removes recovery time rather than workload. Miss two weeks of a fifteen-week course and thirteen remain to repair it. Miss two weeks of a 7.5-week session and a quarter of the course is gone, usually including something that cannot be resubmitted.
That is why work is scheduled to land early instead of on time. A finished assignment sitting a few days ahead of its deadline is the only real insurance against a shift change, a sick child or a night when the home internet gives up. It separates a calm session from a frantic one.
The group project you did not pick your teammates for.
Group work in a compressed online course is hard for reasons that have nothing to do with anyone's character. Four adults in four time zones, all with jobs, must coordinate a deliverable inside seven weeks through a message board. Some will be slower than you and one may never appear.

Anything more puts your degree at risk.
What if my group partners disappear?

Can you take a session that has already started?
Usually, though a compressed session narrows the window. Send the syllabus with your current grades.
