Most online courses ask one thing of you per week. Walden asks two, and almost everyone underestimates the reply half, because answering a classmate feels like conversation rather than coursework. Your faculty member reads it as coursework: a claim, a source, and something the person above you did not already say.
So replies get built the way assignments do, with the reading done first and the citation checked. That takes the pressure off midweek and off Friday, where most Walden students start losing ground. If the weekly beat is the only part drowning you, plenty of people take EDL 110 on its own.
Weeks seven and ten are where the grade is decided.
Walden loads its weight toward the back of the term. Major assessments gather around week 7 and again around week 10, arriving at the point where a twice-weekly rhythm has spent whatever reserve you began with. Nobody produces their best work in that condition, and no syllabus warns you it is coming.
The remedy is unglamorous and it works. We start those assessments while the courseroom is at its lightest, then spend the remaining time improving them rather than beginning them. Rubrics are read first, and sources are checked so a faculty member who clicks a citation finds exactly what it promised.

Graduate nursing at Walden bolts an administrative job onto the academic one. Hours have to be entered, an agreement has to exist, a preceptor's credentials have to be on file, and an hour worked but never documented is, to your program, an hour you did not work. Doctoral students answer to a review board here, and it reads closely. Most second rounds are caused by small avoidable things: a consent form that does not match the protocol, an instrument permission nobody obtained, a CITI certificate that quietly expired. Those get checked before submission rather than after the letter arrives. Whether it approves is entirely the board's call. What we work on is how many attempts it takes.

That rhythm holds for all eleven weeks, including the stretches where a run of night shifts would otherwise have ended it.
Can you keep my Meditrek record up to date?
Yes, and you can take that on its own. Records work is quoted separately from coursework, so nothing else has to come with it. The site agreement, your preceptor's credentials, the hour entries and the closing evaluation are handled by people who have submitted those forms to Walden before. A fair number of students bring us this alone.
I am in week six and behind. Worth saving?
Often, and the answer will be straight either way. Send the syllabus together with a screenshot of the gradebook. Your specialist works out how much of the grade is still sitting in the week 7 and week 10 items, dates whatever remains, and either builds the recovery around them or says plainly that this term is not worth paying to rescue.
